Al-Rai al-Aam: Kuwaiti FM hopes military confrontation not to take place between the US, Iraq

Kuwait's first deputy prime minister and minister of foreign affairs Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah has expressed his hope that a military confrontation will not take place between the USA and Iraq.
In a statement issued yesterday by the Kuwaiti daily al-Rai al-Aam, he said "we call not for a war to take place," stressing that as a member at the UN security council, Kuwait has to seek the prevention of the war.
