Moroccan NGOs to stage protest march against military strike in iraq
Morocco-Iraq, Politics, 1/1/2003
A protest march against a military strike in Iraq, will be staged on January 12th by several Rabat-based NGOs gathered under the banner of "Initiative for the support of the Iraqi people."
Rallies are scheduled for the occasion in Sale, Rabat's twin city, Temara and Skhirat, the capital's suburban areas. Other protest movements include a 30 minute-work stoppage in a date to be decided later, said Khalid Soufiani, member of "Initiative for the support of the Iraqi people."
Soufiani reiterated his call for the boycott of American and British products and for thwarting any initiative geared to normalize relations with the "Zionist entity," stressing the role of national and Arab media in this regard.
