Non- official discussions in Washington were positive, Sudan

The secretary of the Sudanese foreign ministry Mutarraf Siddiq has described the non- official talks held in Washington between the two delegations of the Sudanese government and the rebels movement as positive and having met set objectives for all sides represented in the government, the rebels movement and the US administration. Saddiq said that during the talks points of agreements and disagreements between the two sides were set with the attempt to bridge the differences in other points.

He said in a statement that the US stressed its commitment to the peace process and ensuring all necessary requirements regarding experts and others in order to facilitate the negotiation process and reach an agreement over points under disputes.
