Governor of Amman warns trade unions
Jordan, Politics, 1/1/2003
The governor of Amman, Jordan, has warned Jordanian vocational trade unions from convening any meeting or organizing political activities under the two names of the trade unions council and the anti- normalization committee.
The governor Abdul Karim al-Malahemah informed heads of vocational trade unions during a meeting he held with them not to convene meetings for the council and for the trade unions. He explained that this is based on the decision taken by the court in "explaining laws" issued recently to that effect.
