US started evacuating its citizens from Jableh, Yemen

The US started yesterday evacuation of its citizens from Jableh, 170 Km to the south of Sanaa which witnessed last Monday the assassination of three American doctors, according to the American embassy in Sanaa.

The spokesman for the embassy John Balian said that a "caravan" arrived in Sanaa today ( Tuesday) that brought American citizens from Jableh. The spokesman refused to give explanations concerning those American citizens.

He added that the role of the embassy is to help Americans wishing to leave Jableh and to facilitate their transport. He said that certain Americans are still in that town.

Meantime, an eulogy will be held today in Sanaa at "al-Shuhadaa' cemetry " for the Yemeni politician Jarullah Omar, the assistant secretary gneral of the Yemeni Socialist party.
