Sudan closes several papers

A statement by the internal security said that the Sudanese authorities ordered the closure of the Sudanese independent daily al-Watan and the "African horn company" which issues it.
The statement which was circulated on the mass media said the director general of internal security ordered immediate halting of the African horn activities and closing of al-Watan paper. The statement explained that the closure order was issued in the " framework of emergency and preserving general security." Moreover, other two independent Sudanese dailies " al-Sahafa ' and " al-Hurreyah " were not published on Saturday because the authorities informed their administrations it will confiscate all the circulated issues.
On Friday " al-Sahafa" issued a statement for the people's national congress, the party of the Islamists Hassan al-Turabi, who is in prison, criticizing the parliament over extending the state of emergency.
However, the Sudanese daily " al-Hurreyah " issued an article accusing the government of " selling the Sudanese national economy.." N.
