Mrs. Suzanne Mubarak launches national plan for girls' education

Egypt's First Lady Suzanne Mubarak launches today the plan of girls education in seven governorates, Menya, Fayoum, Beheria, Sohag, Assiut, Bani Suif and Giza in the light of the initiative by the National Council for Motherhood and Childhood. This initiative aims at teaching about 500,000 girls till the end of 2005 and narrowing the gap between the teaching of boys and girls association with a number of ministries and NGOs.
Mrs. Suzanne Mubarak will head a meeting of the National Council for Motherhood and childhood to be attended by the Prime Minister, Atef Ebeid and a number of ministers for discussing the national plan for teaching girls, which will be included in the 5-year plan for development.
