Maher: Egypt ready to support, cooperate with any efforts for peaceful

Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher expressed conviction Friday that the Arabs of 1948 will side with the peace camp within Israel and that they will take part in the upcoming Israeli elections to help resume the peace negotiations as soon as possible and put an end to the current violence. The only practical solution known to all parties lies in setting up a Palestinian state with east Jerusalem as its capital that lives side by side with Israel.
He expressed hope that the Israelis, with all their factions and regardless of their partisan belongings, can prove that they are sticking to peace.
