Algeria: nine persons killed in acts of violence

Two military men and 7 armed Islamists were killed on Wednesday in Algeria during mopping up operations carried out by the security forces, according to the Algerian dailies issued on Thursday.
The same sources said that two military men were killed and other two wounded in Sedi Dawoud in Bumerdas area by an armed group which detonated a bomb when a military patrol was running there before it opened fire against them.
The Algerian daily Le Matin said that seven Islamists were killed in Zakkar heights near Malyana town by military men who were carrying mopping up operation in the area.
