Four cooperation agreements between Lebanon, Yemen

By the end of the first day of the Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh to Lebanon, which he extended until tomorrow afternoon, Lebanon and Yemen signed four bilateral agreements.
The four agreements include two agreements. The first covers cooperation in the field of technical cooperation and vocational training and the second pertains to educational and scientific cooperation and a protocol on cooperation in the area of specifications and standards, quality control and an executive protocol for a tourism cooperation agreement.
The Yemeni president held talks with the Lebanese President Emil Lahoud who, at his honor, by the end of the first day held a dinner banquet. President Saleh met with the Lebanese Prime minister and with the speaker of the parliament.
The Yemeni president stressed "Lebanon's right to restore its occupied lands in the Shebaa farms and its right to al-Wazzani river waters." He also praised the Lebanese national resistance. He also announced his rejection to "directing a military attack in Iraq or to interfere in its internal affairs." He asserted that "Iraq has stressed its commitment to international law and showed and continue to cooperate with the inspection teams." He also condemned the "Zionist aggression against the Palestinian Arab people."
During his talks with President Lahoud, Saleh commended " the rebuilding process of Lebanon and its investment and tourism process." They reviewed the results of Paris II conference.
President Lahoud, for his part, stressed care to eliminate any obstacle impeding the implementation of joint agreements with Yemen. He stressed the importance not to ignore the great importance of the peace initiative approved by the Beirut Arab summit. He called for commitment to the results of the summit in opposing any military attack and announced rejection of " any unilateral move outside the international legitimacy context." He also welcomed the "cooperation Iraq shows with UN inspection."
The Yemeni president yesterday visited a the "Martyrs tomb in al-Mathaf ( Museum) area and the Lebanese national Museum.
