AIDS cases in Syria low

Within the activities of the Syrian Red Crescent Association of International AIDS Day, the Manager of the Syrian National Program for Fighting AIDS (NPFA), Mohammed Imad Al- Daqer yesterday lectured on AIDS Epidemics.
Dr. Daqer indicated that Syria's NPFA, which includes different social activities, state ministries and public organizations, was established even before detecting any AIDS case in Syria and the number of AIDS cases in Syria is very low.
The NPFA Manager affirmed that his program is working on coordinating all national efforts to confront this dangerous disease which is worldwide spread.
Dr. Daqer presented an AIDS disease definition, ways of transforming and treating it reviewing the importance of society's participation in national plans for fighting such a deadly disease.
