Syria's First Lady stress education for development; business women accompany the president

Syria's First Lady Asmaa Al-Assad yesterday in London held a meeting with the Board of the British Teaching and Skills Foundation and discussed with them the teaching process and its strategy for the pre-university levels in Both countries.

Mrs. al-Assad raised few questions and indicated that teaching process is everyone's responsibility in the society and no development could be achieved without individuals self development.

Wives of the Syrian ambassador to London and the British ambassador to Damascus accompanied the First Lady.

Later in the day, Mrs. Al-Assad met with the Arab ambassadors wives in London and talks on the Arab community's situation in London.

She referred to the Western viewpoint towards Arab women. She cited Arab women role throughout the history.

Mrs. al-Assad indicated that the Syrian women play a leading role in the Syrian society and the best example on that is that nine businesswomen are accompanying President Bashar Al-Assad during his current visit to Britain.
