Straw: Syrian- British talks constructive

British Foreign Minister Jack Straw described Syrian -British talks as "constructive and successful." In a statement to London-based Al-Hayat newspaper, Straw affirmed that the importance of the meetings is to achieve a deeper understanding of each other's stances as well as to obtain joint understanding, stressing that this understanding is possible.
Regarding Iraqi issue, Straw stressed that Britain wants a peaceful solution to the crisis.
