Spanish fm: King Mohammed's initiative to allow Galicia ships in Moroccan waters highly positive
Morocco-Spain, Politics, 12/18/2002

Morocco's King Mohammed VI's initiative to exceptionally allow Galicia ships access into Morocco's Exclusive Economic Zone "is highly positive," said in Madrid on Monday Spain's Foreign Affairs Minister, Ana Palacio. "These relations, she added, are gaining ground in terms of trust and dialogue," she said, referring to recent meetings in Madrid between her and Moroccan peer.

In a statement to the Spanish private radio station "Onda Cero," Palacio noted that King Mohammed VI's decision, taken to alleviate Spain's North regions' plight resulting from sunken tanker Prestige oil slick, is to be seen through the prism of normalising bilateral relations.
