New measures to bolster economic ties with China

Chairman of Federation of Egyptian chambers of Commerce, Khaled Abu Ismail said that Egyptian and Chinese businessmen agreed to benefit from the great facilities provided for trade exchange between the two countries by their governments to enhance cooperation between the two countries.

Speaking in press conference on the occasion of a visit by Chinese businessmen delegation to Egypt, Abu Ismail said the Egyptian-Chinese Businessmen Board will meet in China next May.

On the sidelines of the meeting, a high level Egyptian delegation will visit China, including a number of ministers.

The joint businessmen board will set up a data base on the Egyptian and Chinese markets.

The database will include information on the demands of both markets and the quality control requirements as well as import and export procedures in the two countries.

Abu Ismail called on Egyptian businessmen to benefit from the Chinese market of one billion people specially after China joined the World Trade Organization.

He said that the exchange of visits by businessmen should be increased to benefit from the Chinese experience.

Chairman of the Chinese delegation and Director General of Shanghai Economic Committee lauded the facilities by the Egyptian government for investors.

He pointed out to the Chinese tendency to up investments in Egypt. The coming period will witness boost of cooperation in fields of electronics and software as well as exchange of technical aid.
