Younis reviews electricity strategy before Arab Atomic Energy conference

Egyptian Minister of Electricity and Energy Hassan Younis Sunday said the strategy of the electricity sector aims at the optional use of manpower, financial and technological resources available and improving energy production and consumption efficiency with environmental standards in mind.
Addressing the sixth Arab conference on the peaceful usages of Atomic Energy, Younis reviewed his ministry's strategy till the year 2002.
The current production capacity is estimated at 16.650 maggoty, he told the conference.
Representatives from 13 Arab countries are taking part in the four-day conference sponsored by the Arab Atomic Energy Authority to consider 140 technical researches.
The conference is expected to end on Tuesday to issue its recommendations at an evening session.
