Three Palestinians killed by Israel, scores of houses demolished
Palestine-Israel, Military, 12/17/2002
The two Palestinians, Abdul karim Shabbat and Muhammad Faraj Edwan, from Beit Hanoun and a third Palestinian near Neve Dakalim settlement were killed by the Israeli bullets, while the Israeli army demolished 15 Palestinian houses near Moraj settlement in Rafah and leveled vast areas of agricultural lands.
Palestinian sources said that two Palestinian children sisters were strongly wounded and five women fainted when the Israeli forces demolished their houses without a prior warming.
The sources stressed that the Israeli machinery destroyed scores of houses in the downtown of Rafah under a dense cover of the Israeli tanks fire and machine guns of the Israeli forces and three Palestinians were hit by the Israeli forces in Nablus.
Meantime, the Israeli forces started the building of what it described as a security wall in its first stage to the North of the West Bank as a separation line between the Israeli settlements and several Palestinian villages. An Israeli spokesman said that the phase which started yesterday includes the building of 12 Km between Salem village in the territories of 1948 and Muqibla village to the North of the West Bank, noting that a large area of the agricultural lands in the said area will be inside the wall area which means confiscating more Palestinian territories.
