A new chief of staff for the Kuwaiti army

The Kuwaiti cabinet yesterday approved the appointment of a new army chief of staff in succession of Ali al-Moumen who reached the retirement age.
The Kuwaiti News agency quoted the Kuwaiti defense minister that the post which was assigned to the deputy army chief of staff Ma.. Gen. Fahd Ahmad al-Ameer who was boosted to the grade of a Lt. Gen.. Lt. Gen. Al- Ameer will assume his new post in January 2003.
