Al-Assad, wife Arrived in London

Syria's President Bashar Al-Assad and his wife yesterday evening arrived in London on an official visit to the United Kingdom.

President Assad and his wife were welcomed at Heathrow airport by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II representative, Baron Trembengton and the British Member of Parliament and State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mike Obrien, the UK ambassador to Damascus, the Syrian ambassador to London, the Syrian Embassy staff as well as the Arab ambassadors accredited to London.

Following the reception ceremony, President Bashar Al-Assad, his wife and companions moved in motor convoy to their residence at Dorchester Hotel of London.

President Assad is accompanied by an official delegation comprising of Foreign Minister, Farouk Al-Shara, Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Ghassan Al-Refai and Minister of Communications, Mohammed Bashir Al-Munajed.
