Abu Dhabi fund agrees on setting up model farm in Toshka

Abu Dhabi fund for economic development has endorsed a plan to set up a model farm on an area of 1000 feddans in Toshka to serve in the implementation of the third phase of Toshka project.
According to Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mahmoud Abu-Zeid, Sheikh Zayed has extended to Egypt a grant of around US $ 100 million to execute the third phase of the project to cultivate up to 100,000 feddans of Toshka lands.
He said that his ministry is currently overseeing the implementation of many water projects on the Sheikh Zayed canal at the cost of LE 50 million to prepare for the opening of the mammoth pumping water station in January.
