Washington urges its citizens in Kuwait to be cautious

The American embassy in Kuwait has urged its citizens in the country to avoid public places and residential areas where large aggregations for western citizens do exist following the occurrence of two incidents in one residential complex..

In a statement on Wednesday, the embassy said "two security incidents took place recently in a residential complex in Kuwait where there is great concentration of American citizens." No further details were given about the two incidents which took place in the residential complex.

In October, two Kuwaitis attacked soldiers of the American naval troops while they were training at the Kuwaiti Filka island. In November, one Kuwaiti policeman fired at two American soldiers and they were seriously wounded as a result.
