US finalized preparations for attacking Iraq

The Kuwaiti daily al- Anbaa reported yesterday quoting well-informed British sources that the US and Britain are intending to call on the UN security council to convene a meeting before the fall of the Christmas, considering that the American forces have become ready to launch a war against Iraq by the fall of January, 2003 instead of February.

The paper also quoted Col. Keneth Ghant, the commander of the 9th artillery contingent at "New York" camp of the US army in the Kuwaiti Adeirg desert, as saying that the American forces are ready to attack Iraq, noting that his forces are waiting for a telephone call from President George Bush to start this attack.

Ghant said that Washington is serious about toppling the Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, noting that the count down for the movement of his forces has actually started.
