The United States on Monday renewed firm backing to the efforts made by James Bakers, Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary General for the Sahara, to end the Sahara issue.

Washington firmly backs the efforts made by Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary General for the Sahara, James Baker, to find a solution to the Sahara issue, said US Undersecretary for the Middle East and North Africa, William Burns.
