Washington recommends citizens to be cautious in Lebanon

The US yesterday renewed calls for its citizens in Lebanon to be cautious, stressing that it has intensified the security of its diplomats in Beirut.
In a statement, the US Department Of State said that the "escalation of tension in the Middle East resulted in remarkable increase in the rhetorical statements against the USA in this country." The statements added that "the attacks against companies which have relations with the USA and the killing of an American citizen in Sidon, all push the Americans to take further cautious measures during their moves."
The statement said that moves of the American diplomats in certain Lebanese areas have been restricted and that the American airline companies are not authorized to stop in Lebanon for security reasons and that the Lebanese Middle East Airlines (MEA) is not permitted to transport passengers to the USA.
