American simulated maneuvers in Qatar

A US military spokesman said yesterday that the American forces started yesterday large maneuvers using computer simulations in order to test the technological capacities of the headquarters of a leadership in Qatar that might be in charge of any war against Iraq.
The spokesman for the American central leadership, Bill Harrison, said in a press statement that "The internal look" exercise was officially launched.
He explained that the launching signal for this maneuvers was given yesterday morning from al-Seleyah base near the Qatari capital, Doha.
The leader of the American forces in the Gulf Gen. Tommy Francs leads these maneuvers which will last for one week and will allow testing telecommunications means of the leadership's center.
