Foreign ministers of Yemen, Sudan, Ethiopia discuss political, security cooperation
Yemen-Sudan, Politics, 12/9/2002
The foreign ministers of Yemen, Sudan and Ethiopia decided to hold their next meeting in Khartoum by the end of the current month.
A Yemeni diplomatic source said that the meeting falls in the course of following up the decisions of the Sanaa summit ( held by Presidents of Yemen, Ethiopia and Sudan) with the aim to consolidate joint cooperation and political and security coordination between the three countries.
The source said that the two political and media committee and the economic and security committee which were formed earlier will be meeting before the meeting of the foreign ministers with the aim to prepare technical documents to develop the mechanism of joint cooperations and coordination.
The source denied statements made by Eritrea on targeting it at the Sanaa summit or the meetings of the foreign ministers, stressing that these meetings aim at developing cooperation, fostering relations and stability in the region. The source called for ruling out the concept of conspiring because the three countries keep good relations with the people of Eritrea and view its people with great appreciation and are careful to develop relations with them.
