Some 13 persons killed in acts of violence in Algeria

Six members of the Algerian security forces were killed in an attack on Tuesday and Thursday against the headquarters of an armed group in Istanbul Wood, in Askar area, situated 360 Km to the west of the capital Algiers
The Algerian daily Le Matin said yesterday that the battle erupted while the soldiers were chasing armed men who killed four members of the government militia on November 30 in al-Shurfa area in the same district.
Worthy mentioning that a group called Humat al-Dawa al-Salafeyah (protectors of al-Salafeyah call) is active in the area. The group is chaired by Muhammad Bin Salim, known as Salim al-Abbasi.
According to an official and press statistics some 90 persons were killed in Algeria during the holy month of Ramadan.
