Arab League asks Washington to clarify its position on Jerusalem, Palestinian resistance to occupation

The Arab League (AL) has expressed its concern over the US voting on Tuesday against the UN Security Council resolution which regards the Israeli Government's decision to considering the city of Jerusalem as a capital for Israel as void, and called on Washington to clarify its position concerning the holy city.
The Secretary General of the Arab League, Amr Moussa told journalists that this American position raises concern because it is a change that in position that cannot be understood and is not a justified act amid the current conditions.
He added that this American position is considered as backtracking in the American stances especially in light of what the US President George Bush has recently stressed, in remarks to his confirmation is that there is no change in the position of the US administration concerning Jerusalem.
Moussa, on the other hand, stressed the commitment of the Arab states to stances of the UN General Assembly and the Security Council concerning Jerusalem and the right of the Palestinian people to restore back east Jerusalem.
He called on Washington to explain its position to the Arab states over their great concern over the great shift in the American stances concerning the unwavering Arab rights to Jerusalem.
