Algeria supports an emergency Arab summit

Algeria has stressed it follows up with great concern the recent developments of the Arab arena and the current consultation to convene an extraordinary Arab summit. A statement by the Algerian foreign ministry issued on Wednesday stressed Algeria's support for the efforts aiming at unifying the ranks and defending the supreme interests of the Arab nation.
The statement also stressed Algeria's support for the Libyan position which aims at revitalizing joint Arab work.
However, Qatar and Libya has called for the convening of a special Arab summit to discuss the current Arab condition which faces unprecedented challenges especially in regard to the two files of Iraq and Palestine.
