A Palestinian youth was shot dead in Jerusalem by the bullets of the Israeli forces and the Israeli police killed another Palestinian from Kafer Kanna town in the territories of 1948, while the Israeli army incurred in al-Zahra quarters and al-Sheikh Ajleen to the south of Gaza and demolished a house near Natsareim settlement and launched a large scale acts of detention targeting scores of Palestinians in Jerusalem, Beit Rima, Qalqilya, Toulkarem, Ramullah, Deir al-Balah under the pretext of resisting occupation at a time when the Israeli forces were put in a state of alert to the north of Palestine and near Hasharon settlement in the West Bank.
Meantime, The Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon approved a plan for extending the wall separating between the occupied West Bank and the territories of 1948 to the north of Palestine and thereby to confiscate new Palestinian lands for that purpose.
The spokesman for Sharon, Ranaan Gesin, said that there is initially a decision to continue work in the northern sector of the wall.
Meantime, an official at the Israeli defense ministry said that the new wall which extends for 42 Km will be installed from Majdo until Beit Shan town at a cost of USD 48 million.
In London, Britain has recently proposed a plan to deploy a peace keeping force in the occupied Palestinian area led by the US in order to halt the confrontation between the Palestinians and the Israelis.
A source at the British foreign office stressed yesterday the support given by Britain to this plan but without clarifying the role to be played by Britain in this force.
The source added that the British ambassador to Israel, Sherard Copper- Colz, is the one who proposed the British plan during an annual meeting for the Anglo- Israeli society which includes in its membership pro- Israel Britons. This plan, as its composer thinks, is the sole way to halt violence in the occupied Palestinian territories.
