Iraqi boat opened fire at two coast guarding Kuwaiti boats

A security source at the Kuwaiti ministry of the interior said that one Iraqi boat opened fire yesterday near Warba island at two boats for the Kuwaiti coasts police.

The same source added that the Iraqi boat "opened fire on two boats for the Kuwaiti coasts guards near Waeba island," which is situated 70 Km to the north of the capital Kuwait. The source did not define whether the incident took place in the Kuwaiti territorial waters or not.

According to the statement of the Kuwaiti ministry of the interior, the " two boats were on usual work when they were attacked by an Iraqi boat. The fire of the Iraqi boat did not hit the two Kuwaiti boats, which were damaged after they were collided and this resulted in wounding one Kuwaiti security members."
