Ebeid reviews Oil Crop cultivation programme in Toshka

Egypt's Prime Minister Atef Ebeid held a meeting yesterday with Deputy Premier and Minister of Agriculture Youssef Wali, Minister of Water Resources And Irrigation Mahmoud Abu Zeid and representatives of agriculture companies operating in Toshka.
ΚΚΚ Abu Zeid said the meeting reviewed a programme on preparing large areas in Toshka for cultivation of oil crops to provide local needs.
ΚΚΚ Water will be released in early January to irrigate 50.000 Feddans to grow gradually to 400.000 feddans with the beginning of 2004 provided that the companies would reclaim the lands, said Abu Zeid.
