Regional-Iraq, Politics, 12/3/2002
Secretary general of the Arab League, Amr Moussa, has asked director of the Arab atomic energy agency, Mahmood Nasressdine, to propose a list of Arab experts to integrate into the United Nations inspection team in Iraq.
Moussa will submit the list to the head of the UN Monitoring, Verification and Inspections Commission (UNMOVIC), Hans Blix, and to the manager of the international atomic energy agency, Muhammad al-Barad'e, in order to integrate them in the UN inspection team in Iraq.
Moussa has already sent Blix a list of Arab experts in chemical and biological arms and said integrating Arabs in the inspection teams would add more credibility to the missions.
