Mossad and Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia-Israel, Politics, 12/2/2002
In its yesterday issue, the British daily Sunday Times said that the Israeli Mossad department woke up the "sleeping cells" of its agents working in Saudi Arabia and Yemen in order to chase those responsible for the attacks that took place in Kenya recently against Israelis.
The BBC quoted the paper as saying that those agents who are known as "old veterans" and live in secret in the Arab states usually move only in times of war and then their mission would be to obstruct preparations in the Arab states to launch a war against Israel.
In this regard, the paper indicated statements made by the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon in which he said that the war was declared against Israel by Islamic terrorist groups in the world. He called on the Israeli Mossad to change its priorities and to trap -- those he described as terrorists -- one by one.
