One Palestinian killed, Sharon continues threats against Palestinians, three Israeli soldiers wounded

The Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon has threatened to use all means in his war against the Palestinian people, while one young Palestinian was shot by the Israeli soldiers near Ghoush Kative settlement over suspicion that he intended to carry out an operation against Israeli targets.

The Israeli forces arrested three citizens from Abu al-Roub family in al-Jalaboun village, in Jenin and wounded other three in Gaza, while two Israeli soldiers were wounded in clashes with Palestinian resistance fighters near Neve Dekalim settlement, and an explosive went off near Bab al-Amoud in Jerusalem.

Ezz Eddine al- Qassam group, of the Hamas movement, claimed responsibility for Neve Dekalim, and said that one of its groups opened fire and dropped mortars at an Israeli military position near the settlement and direct hits were achieved.

Meantime, one Israeli soldier was wounded in clashes with Palestinian resistance fighters near Ghoush Kative settlement, and a large fire erupted in one of the Israeli settlements to the west of Jerusalem.

Meantime, the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon threatened to continue the war against the Palestinians by all means, claiming that he will invest all his time to fight what he called terrorism.

He said that Israel will find the attackers of Paradise Hotel in Mombassa and those who stand behind them.

On the other hand, official results of the preliminary elections of the Likud party resulted in re-election of Sharon as leader of the party after he had scored 15 points over his main rival Benjamin Netanyahu.

Sharon received 55.8% of the votes for 40.8% for Netanyahu, and the rate of participation in the voting was 46% of the Likud's 305,000 members.
