Sweden to give asylum to Palestinians of the West Bank, Gaza

Sweden yesterday announced it will give political asylum to the Palestinians who arrive on its territories from the West Bank and Gaza, because of the continued acts of violence there.
Before this decision which was taken by the immigration council, Sweden did not have clear directives to decide on asylum requests for almost 600 Palestinians.
The decision of the immigration council reads that the situation has not improved during the past 6 months but was characterized by acts of violence and war and tough restrictions on the movement of people and very difficult health conditions." The decision also read "it does not seem that the current situation is temporary."
