Yemen, Kuwait exchange information over al-Qaida members

The Kuwaiti and Yemeni security systems have exchanged information concerning persons in each of the two states suspected to be members in al-Qaida organization.

The Yemeni ambassador to Kuwait, Saed al-Awlaqi, said in a statement to the Kuwaiti daily al-Seyasah issued yesterday that a Yemeni delegation including representatives for the political security received information from the Kuwaiti security authorities regarding members of al-Qaida organization cell who were recently arrested by the Kuwaiti security authorities and admitted to collecting money to build a training camp in Yemen.

The ambassador explained that the Yemeni delegation left Kuwait after it had held talks with the security authorities over three days, noting that the Yemeni delegation provided Kuwait with similar usefull information.

Meantime, the Kuwaiti daily al-Watan said yesterday that the Kuwaiti authorities arrested on Wednesday the Kuwait Khaled al-Dousari, 30 years old, over suspicion that he belong to al-Qaida organization.

The paper explained that the Moroccan authorities arrested al-Dousari three months earlier when he was suspected, and evacuated him back home one month before, and the Kuwaiti authorities arrested him upon his arrival for two months and then re-arrested him on Wednesday.
