Saudi government approves 2003 budget; 10.4 billion deficit
Saudi Arabia, the first oil exporter in the world, on Wednesday evening approved the general budget for 2003 with a deficit estimated at 39 billion Saudi riyals ( USD 10.4 billion), representing a decrease of 3.13 % in comparison with the deficit it had expected for the current year ( USD 12 billion). However, due to the increase in oil price, the deficit in the Saudi budget for 2002 will not exceed USD 2.2 billion, according to estimates of the new government.

Six Israelis killed 30 wounded in Palestinian operation in Beisan
Some 6 Israelis were killed and other 30 wounded, 13 of them are in critical health conditions in the attack which was launched by two Palestinians by machine guns and mortars in bus stations in front of a voting center for the Israeli Likud Party in Beisan. The Arab League has denounced the recent decision taken by the US administration provided for giving extra military and economic aids to Israel at a cost of USA 12 billions. The AL stressed that talking about such aid to Israel, while continuing its aggression against the Palestinian people and its ignorance of the international law, seems to be an award for Israel over its defiance of the will of the international community and its rejection to implement international resolutions.
