Securities and exchange commission suspends listing of Samir on casablanca stock exchange
Morocco, Business, 11/29/2002

The Securities and exchange commission, the council managing the Casablanca stock exchange, has suspended the listing on the stock market of the oil refinery "Samir."

The decision was taken pending information from the company on effects of the fire that ravaged a part of the Mohammedia oil-refinery's facilities.

The commission says the decision, meant to ensure that all Samir shareholders' equality as to their access to the information to be released by the company, was taken in conformity with the law.

Saudi-Swedish group "Corral Holdings AB" owns 67.3% of Samir's capital, and the remaining 32.7% were bought by shareholders through the stock exchange.
