Jweili for revitalizing joint Arab work

The secretary general of the Arab economic unity council Ahmad Jweli has called for the need to revitalize joint Arab work in all fields especially in the economic areas and to move towards the foundation of the joint Arab market and increasing the volume of inter- Arab trade.
In statements in Cairo yesterday, Jweili stressed the need on concentrating during the current phase on the developmental aspect in the joint economic Arab work and to accelerate the process of liberalizing trade among the Arab states.
He indicated that the council has completed the process of laying a system for the mechanism of investment in the Arab states, and an investment plan that includes 4,000 projects for 15 Arab states covering the sectors of agriculture and services.
He said that the council also completed drawing a type for inter- Arab agreements to protect investments and settle trade differences, as well as an Arab agreement to avoid dual taxation and a cooperation agreement to collect taxes and an agreement to encourage and protect investment and another agreement to settle investment differences among the Arab states.
