More Syrian relief aids to the Palestinians
Syria-Palestine, Politics, 11/28/2002

The fourth convoy carrying relief aid from Syrian citizens to Palestinians in occupied Palestine departed yesterday morning. The convoy is comprised of 16 trucks with a load of more than 300 tones of basic food stuff.

In a statement to reporters Chairman of the Syrian "Popular Committee for Supporting the Intifada and Resisting Zionist project," Ahmad Abdul-Karim underlined that this aid came in the framework of the efforts exerted by the committee to meet part of the needs of Palestinian people who are suffering of the Israeli imposed siege.

He indicated that the committee also approved financial aid to be sent to the Palestinian people that mounts to 420 thousands dollars.

It is noteworthy that the convoy is the second to be sent from Syria to the Palestinians during the holy month of Ramadan.
