Palestine-Israel, Politics, 11/27/2002
The secretary general of the PLO executive committee Mahmoud Abbas ( Abu Mazin ) has renewed his call to halt the suicide attacks and to return back the citizen's public face of the Intifada, while the Palestinian authority has formed a committee to follow up negotiations with the "Israeli peace camp."
Abbas told the media that he has always said that he is against the use of weapons. He added that Israel which has occupied most parts of the West Bank is now raiding Gaza and had destroyed the security headquarters there.
For his part, the Palestinian minister of culture and information Yasser Abd Rabbu stressed that "contacts with the Israeli peace camp with the aim of reaching a detailed agreement for the final solution are still on." Abd Rabbu told the Palestinian daily al-Ayam ( the days) said that the Palestinian leadership decided in a meeting held two days earlier to form a committee under his chairmanship to continue negotiations with the "Israeli peace camp." During the two past days the Israeli media announced reaching a Palestinian- Israeli final peace document named "Belin- Abd Rabbu" document, in remarks to the former Israeli minister Yusi Belin and Abd Rabbu.
