Fatah and Hamas dialogue to be resumed after Eid al-Fiter
Palestine, Politics, 11/27/2002

One of the Fatah key figures and member of the inter- Palestinian dialogue Ahmad Ghneim stressed that the current dialogue between the Fatah and Hamas movement on a "common political vision" is achieving "progress" noting preparations for another meeting in Cairo after Eid al-Fiter.

Ghenim said that there is great progress and that despite of the difficulties facing the dialogue and the provocation made by Israel, there is, however, "hope to reaching an agreement." Ghneim stressed that the contacts between the two sides are still continuous and preparations are ongoing to prepare for another meeting in Cairo following Eid al-Fiter which falls by the end of next week.

Officials close to the inter- Palestinian dialogue which held its last meeting in Cairo two weeks ago stressed that the two sides "have agreed to reach first an understanding on the political program before defining elements of implementing it, especially in regard to resistance and the negotiations."
