Riyadh trusts Rabat's handling of case of 3 saudis linked to al-Qaeda
Saudi Arabia-Morocco, Local, 11/26/2002
Saudi Interior minister, Prince Nayef Ibn Abdel Aziz, said his country trusts the way Moroccan authorities are handling the case of three Saudis who are being tried in Morocco for links with Al Qaida.
Prince Nayef, who voiced his country's stance in a press conference held in Jeddah, said that Morocco is keeping his country informed as the investigation unfolds, emphasizing his "full trust in the Moroccan judicial system."
Asked if the Saudi authorities intend to submit an extradition request to Morocco, Prince Nayef said the three Saudis "are now under the Moroccan law" and that such a move depends on the Moroccan side.
He further said that the Saudi authorities have evidence of the three Saudis' involvement in terrorist activities.
