Arab follow-up committee extraordinary meeting marks start of new arab order, Moroccan FM

Moroccan minister of foreign affairs and cooperation, Mohamed Benaissa, said the extraordinary meeting of the Arab follow up committee marks the start of new action to establish a new Arab order. Benaissa told MAP correspondent in Damascus where he took part in the extraordinary meeting of the follow up committee said discussions were frank, deep and intensive and covered issues that usually were not debated.

He added that foreign ministers of Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Yemen, Bahrain, Algeria, Oman and Palestine stressed the need for Arab joint action that takes into account latest developments regional and international developments and the complex Arab situation.

At the end of its two-day meeting, the committee stressed the need to stop threatening Iraq in order to allow UN inspectors fulfill their mission in the best conditions.
