French due debts on Jordan rescheduled
Jordan-France, Economics, 11/23/2002
The Jordanian minister of finance Michael Marto and the French ambassador in Amman Jane Caza on Thursday signed an agreement for rescheduling USD 330 million which constitute half of the French debts on Jordan.
Sources at the Jordanian ministry of finance said that the agreement comes as an implementation of the agreement signed between Jordan and Paris Club in July for scheduling USD 1.2 billion, due debts to be paid by Jordan during the forthcoming five years for the Club's member states.
The sources said that the French debts accumulated on Jordan until the end of September this year reached USD 647 million.
