Delegation of Children Parliament Meets Moroccan Officials
Morocco, Culture, 11/22/2002
On the occasion of the Universal children's day, a delegation of the Moroccan children parliament met on Wednesday successively with prime minister, Driss Jettou, and speaker of the house of representatives, Abdelouahed Radi.
The prime minister reassured the children that the government's declaration to be presented to the parliament this Thursday is granting a particular interest to children issues, especially in rural areas. He added that out of will to generate an educated generation and to fight exclusion, all Moroccan children's proposals, ambitions and aspirations will be taken into account.
The children delegation stressed the need for children protection centers in all Moroccan regions.
The speaker of the House of Representatives said the children parliament needs to diversify its activities and take an efficient part in promoting awareness on children rights and on the society's duties towards children.
Radi also called for conducting joint initiatives between the adults and the children representatives.
