Washington gives 11 Arab states one month to define their position concerning attacking Iraq

The Qatari al-Jazeera TV station said that some 11 Arab states which include Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen, in addition to the six member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council GCC received American messages asking them to define their positions on taking part in war against Iraq. Al-Jazeera said that Egypt will give its answer within the two coming days by rejecting the American request and will not wait for the period set by the US.
Germany and Iran confirmed that they had received such an American request.
