Two American soldiers wounded in an attack in Kuwait

The Kuwaiti ministry of the interior announced yesterday that the person who opened fire yesterday against two American soldiers near the capital Kuwait is a police man in the Kuwaiti ministry of the interior and the he had fled away to Saudi Arabia.

It added that coordination is underway with the Saudi security authorities in order to arrest and hand over the fleeing police man.

In a statement, the ministry indicated that the two American soldiers were exposed to fire as they were driving in their private car and this resulted in wounding one of them in his shoulder and the other in his face, noting they were admitted to hospital and their health conditions is stable.

Meantime, an American military spokesman in Kuwait announced that the two American soldiers were wounded in an ambush planted by an unidentified armed man on the seventh ring-road outside the Kuwaiti capital. This was, however, the fifth attack of its kind against American within 6 weeks.
