Crown prince Abdullah: we want peace given an opportunity in Iraq

American diplomatic sources said that Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz informed the US ambassador to Saudi Arabia Robert Jordan "his country's position concerning conditions in the region especially the Palestinian and the Iraqi after Iraq's acceptance of the UN security council resolution 1441."

The sources added that during his meeting with the American ambassador, the Saudi crown prince reiterated his statement that his country wants to give "peace an opportunity in Iraq" and to concentrate "the political and diplomatic efforts on settling the Israeli- Palestinian question." Crown prince Abdullah expressed his hope that the US will pressure Israel to work for the implementation of the so-called "road map." on the creation of a Palestinian state.
